You’re a Payroll professional with at least three years of experience in the same or similar role, ideally in the not-for profit space. You’re a self-starter, a team player and you thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You have a strong understanding of Payroll legislation and compliance including tax laws, superannuation and payroll regulations. You are comfortable in working with multiple Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and 24-7 operational rostering. You are familiar with and have used payroll software including time and attendance. Accuracy and attention to detail is your forte, and your analytic skills are second to none.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working closely with key stakeholders across the business, the Payroll Officer is responsible for supporting our services with Payroll related matters, including processing of payrolls, ensuring compliance with tax laws, superannuation and company policies. Additionally, the Payroll Officer is responsible for responding to queries, maintaining records and assisting with payroll audits, reconciliation and reporting.

In the Payroll Officer position, building and maintaining positive working relationships is vital, and a high standard of customer service is a priority of yours. You enjoy a good challenge and your communication (both written and verbal) are a real strength of yours.

THE ESSENTIALS

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in the same or similar position.
  • Experience processing end to end payroll, ultilising Payroll software and Time and Attendance systems. Your experience using PayGlobal, Human Force or similar will be highly regarded.
  • Experience interpreting industrial instruments for the purpose of payroll processing.
