Payroll Analyst

Apply now Job no: 494552
Work type: Full time
Location: Glenfield
Categories: Finance

You’re an experienced Payroll Analyst and you have been working in the same or a similar position for a while now. You come with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and your attention to detail is second to none. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel/Power BI is your thing and a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is also preferred.

You understand the confidential nature of the payroll space, and you are no stranger to the legislative requirements and regulations that come with working in payroll. You thrive in a team environment and you partner well with key stakeholders across the business to understand variance analysis, budgeting requirements and other ad-hoc projects as required. Payroll data analysis is your specialty, and you have the ability to provide value-add analysis and commentary to other teams.

As the Payroll Analyst, you are responsible for payroll month end reporting, reconciliation and submission of monthly superannuation payments, and payroll reconciliations relating to salary packaging, taxation, workers compensation, along with other reconciliation requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing quarterly reimbursements, maintaining employee records associated with company vehicles and preparation of payroll year end reconciliations.

In addition, the Payroll Analyst is also responsible for interpreting data, analysing results using statistical techniques and providing recommendations to the Payroll Manager on appropriate courses of action.

We’re hoping you’ll join our fantastic Whiddon family at Glenfield on a permanent full-time basis, working 3 days in the office and 2 from home (hybrid approach).
