Are you passionate about enhancing the employee experience at work? We are seeking an individual who excels in the people-oriented aspects of team leadership. The People Operations Leader is committed to a hands-on approach in managing teams, working closely with direct leaders to coach and support them in focusing on the essential people-related aspects of their roles.  

You are experienced in enhancing employee practices including engagement, facilitating recruitment and supporting direct managers with employee related discussions. You are no stranger to driving change with a focus on embedding positives processes and practices within the team.  

In your experience, you have become well equipped to provide guidance, support and resources to enable the direct leader to focus on strategic and impactful people management aspects of their role. Your communication is impeccable, and you come with demonstrated experience in positive culture change, with an emphasis on a coaching approach to leadership. 

In this role you will work closely with the service leader, the broader People and Culture team, Regional Managers and other key stakeholders. Your demonstrated experience building and maintaining positive working relationships with key stakeholders is essential to your success in this role. 

THE ESSENTIALS 

  • Previous experience and/or an interest in HR/People & Culture related functions.   

  • Demonstrated experience working with, leading or managing a team.  

  • Previous recruitment and selection experience preferably in aged care, community or health care sector.   

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to write creatively, and strong interpersonal skills. 

  • Strong ability to prioritise, multitask, work to tight deadlines, manage own workload and be flexible moving between priorities to ensure business needs are met. 

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally to the business  

  • Advanced computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office and other software platforms.  

  • A strong commitment to customer service and maintaining confidentiality. 

We’re hoping you’ll join our fantastic Whiddon family in based in one of our Northern Rivers locations on a full-time basis for a 12-month fixed term role. The role is across multiple locations, so there will be travel involved.
