Responsibility spans across the Central Coast and Far West region with a huge focus on employee engagement, resident satisfaction and just generally being awesome. Travel is a requirement of this role, and we have no doubt that you will want to, to meet our awesome team and help them create the best food and dining experience that Aged Care has to offer.
The role of Area Head Chef is exciting, challenging and provides the opportunity to make a real difference. The responsibilities of this role include:
Being awesome and be able to create the WOW factor, leading by example, showing the team how to do things differently and keep the buzz going.
- Working with a dedicated team, mentoring Head Chefs, Team Leaders, Food Safety and Dining Experience Supervisors and the broader catering team for the homes in your region.
- Creating energy and drive quality and excellence, while implementing innovative thinking and products.
- Ensuring the team is being supported and on track for success, and you also support like crazy and be the "go to" person in your region for all things food.
- Filling leave when needed and travelling to homes when in need (i.e. during accreditation visits, food authority visits as well as covering chefs when and if needed).
- Working with a team of experienced, energetic - Hospitality Management Team from support services.
- Being fun, light-hearted but professional and passionate.
- Training and demonstrations with your team and residents.
- Food safety and mandatory paperwork reviews with corrective actions and follow up.
- Communicate with the RSM and other managers in each home and work with the Wellbeing and Lifestyle teams to ensure all homes are following food related activities.
