The Finance Officer (Revenue Services) role is located at Whiddon Support Services in Glenfield, will work with the Finance (Revenue) team playing a vital role in supporting revenue optimisation across the group, supporting the overall finance process as well as working closely with other departments within the organisation to achieve this. This is a permanent full-time opportunity
ABOUT YOU
You come with a minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar Finance position, with Residential Aged Care Revenue experience (Funding, Billing and admissions) and working knowledge of the Aged Care Act is essential. You will come with advanced interpersonal and communication skills and strong finance, reconciliation and systems abilities (including Microsoft office applications).

ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, your day may include:
- Providing guidance and direction to the Revenue team members, wider finance team, site administration and management, on all matter relating to the Revenue function.
- Customer service - responding to stakeholder enquiries (internal and external) via telephone, email and in-person (as required);
- Treasury functions – including receipting of payments
- Medicare funding claim reconciliations and submissions
- Client Billing – Residential, Community Care and General Debtors. This includes management of debtor accounts, reconciling accounts to Medicare funding, other account reconciliations for both internal and external stakeholders, processing direct debits and credit card payments and distribution of monthly fee statements.
- Admissions Support – key contact for Whiddon Sales, site administration and site management, for client admissions. This includes facilitating financial discussions with residents/families, resident agreement compliance checks.
- Processing of client refunds within required legislative timeframes
- Debt Collection in line with Whiddon’s debt collection policy.
- Administration services such as document preparation, mail coordination, document management and administration of the revenue inbox;
- Assist in audit preparation;
- Assist with system testing, upgrades or identification for efficiencies and training;
- Establish, monitor and review systems and controls to detect and minimise error, fraud and/or theft;
