Purpose of the role
The purpose of the Men’s Group Volunteer role is to enrich the lives of our residents by fostering connection, belonging, and wellbeing among the men in our community. Volunteers help plan and facilitate inclusive, interest‑based group sessions that give residents the chance to engage in meaningful conversations, explore hobbies, and enjoy time together.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in planning and preparing group sessions based on the interests, abilities, and preferences of male residents, helping create activities that feel meaningful and inclusive.
- Help facilitate group discussions and activities in a relaxed, respectful way that encourages participation, connection, and confidence.
- Create a welcoming, calm environment where residents feel comfortable sharing stories, exploring hobbies, and engaging at their own pace.
- Encourage social interaction and build camaraderie by supporting conversations, shared interests, and opportunities for friendship.
